Troubleshooting fitlet3 - running Window 11 does not have a working audio out through HDMI port

Issue

Audio output through HDMA port (for example in speakers equipped monitors) does not work. Intel High Definition Audio appears under Other Devices

Solution

1. Open the Windows Device Manager and obtain there is the Intel High Definition Audio device in the Other Devices section.

2. Expand the System Devices section, right-click on the Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller device, and choose the Uninstall Device option:

3. Set the Delete the driver software for this device checkbox and click on the Uninstall button:

4. After the uninstalling process, the Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) Audio Controller and Intel Smart Sound Technology (Intel SST) OED devices should disappear:

5. Restart the system and enter the BIOS menu by pressing the DEL key during the boot.

6. Browse to the Chipset -> PCH-IO configuration -> HD Audio Configuration menu.

7. Set the Audio DSP setting to Disabled:

8. Press the F4 key to Save & Exit.

9. After the system reboots, the HDMI Audio should appear:

Important note:

If the Audio DSP BIOS setting is disabled prior to installing Windows, there is no need to uninstall the Intel SST devices. The HDMI audio Will work immediately after installing the Chipsetand Video drives.
