Measuring 115 x 101 x 27 mm and consuming makes it the smallest product in the market - it can practically fit in a pocket. Yet it boasts the capabilities of a full-featured desktop, including a 1.6GHz processor, 1GB RAM and 160GB harddisk, all packed into a rugged aluminum case. Fit-PC2 smoothly runs Windows XP / Vista / Win 7 and Linux, as well as all mainstream applications. Fit-PC2's outstandingly low power consumption – just 6W, makes it the greenest PC ever introduced. Low power consumption provides another important benefit – fit-PC2 doesn’t require a fan, making it absolutely quiet and improving system reliability by obviating any moving parts. In combination with SSD, it creates a perfect shock tolerant system, ideal for car computers and automotive applications.
fit-PC2 Specifications
fit-PC2 comprises Intel's Atom Z530 processor, US15W chipset, 1GB of DDR2 memory and an optional 160GB harddisk. The last can be replaced by a solid state disk or by another HDD.
fit-PC2's graphics controller has a DVI interface and supports display resolutions up to 1920x1080. The peripheral set includes 802.11g WiFi, HD Audio, 1000BT Ethernet, six USB 2.0 ports, miniSD and mini PCI Express sockets. It is powered by a regular 12V DC wall adapter.
Pricing and Availability
The fit-PC2's price starts from $245. fit-PC motherboard (named SBC-FITPC2) can also be purchased separately, starting from $195. Evaluation Kits for commercial users will be available from 01-Apr-2009.
