Hello
I have a fit-PC2i, purchased in Oct 2010. Yesterday during use, one of the Type A USB ports on the rear of the unit failed. Today, I moved that device to the other USB port on the rear, and it works fine. However, nothing that I plug into that other USB port is recognized.
I suspect that the USB port is defective now, and cannot be restored?
Any tips please?
thanks
Martin
USB Port Failure
Re: USB Port Failure
Yes, but this is PC is in full use and its taken me months to get it where it's currently at. If I return it to you, what are the chances that I will get the same unit back so that I can retain its configuration, applications etc.

Re: USB Port Failure
Unit will be replaced. You can backup the HDD or take it out and replace for a diskless unit.
Re: USB Port Failure
Okay. I will remove the HDD. I assume this is straightforward?
I will also contact RMA to get the RMA number.
thanks

Re: USB Port Failure
Removing the HDD involves
- Opening 4 HDD philips screws at the bottom (2 of them on the HDD door that will fall out)
- Sliding out the hard disk
Should be pretty straight-forward.
