We are a reseller in Korea
We are developing Auto On-Off for vehicles.
This is first version. (ready made and operation is perfect)
1. The function is
1) Adjust PC On and Off by DIP S/W
2) External PC On and Off by external S/W
- When we use a fit-PC2 with VESA braket we can extend the power S/W and…
3) Use for fit-PC2 and other car PC -> output over 10A
4) Use with DC2DC then PSU(Power Supply Unit)+ PCU(Power Control Unit)
5) Small Size - 50mm X 50mm X 25mm
Now we develop the auto on-off only for fit-PC2 we can make it smaller and cost-down
2. Operation
PC ON
1) ACC ON -> after 1 second -> Relay ON (supply power to DC2DC)
2) Relay ON -> after 1 second -> PC ON(for only 0.5 second) and start booting
PC OFF
1) Key OFF -> after 1 second -> PC OFF(for only 0.5 second) and quit
2) PC OFF -> after 120 seconds -> Relay OFF(protect the battery)
This operation begin when battery power is over 7.5V
* Please let me know if you have any idea…

Re: Auto On-Off unit for vehicles
it's a trial version.
We made it 10pcs and gave it to the car-pc members for testing.
if we make it a bulk qty a target price is under US$10.
If there is a need from resellers we can make it as a lower price I think.

10$ sounds like a great deal, but it's hard to understand the exact functionality from your post. Did you produce a user manual for it? PDF file maybe?

Re: Auto On-Off unit for vehicles
one problem occured using auto on/off.
The auto on/off module and modified fit-PC2 work well seperately.
But after connecting each other when key-on fit-PC2 was not booting automatically but shut down automatically when key-off.
We found the reason why.
1. auto on/off module function
PC on steps
1) ACC on
2) 1 sec after relay1 on (12V power supply)
3) 1 sec after relay 2 on for 0.5sec : PC starts booting
PC off steps
1) ACC off
2) 0.5 sec after Relay2 on for 0.5sec : PC starts quiting
3) 120 sec after Relay 1 off for protecting battery
There was no problems when testing anothe car PC system
but in case of fit-PC2 auto on function was not worked.
The reason was delay time (1 sec) after Relay 1 on.
When I push the power button on 1 sec after 12V power supply the power on/off button was not worked.
So we have to modify the delay time longer than 1 sec.
(maybe 2~3 sec)
The module we made is just auto on/off (version 1)
We now preparing the another version.
1. auto on/off (smaller than version 1)
2. auto on/off with dc2dc
- dc2dc (more or less 30W)
- for fit-PC2 and lcd monitor both
I want to know which one between auto on/off and auto on/off with dc2dc do you prefer?
If we finish making auto on/off we will send sample for testing to fit-PC2
And approved officially we can supply it as a third party.
