WIFI - problems under Ubuntu 13.04

HI

I just bought a fit-PC3 pro and installed Ubuntu 13.04. As i saw the WIFI module is RTL8723ae.It works, but I experienced multiple interruptions when browsing Internet, which I haven't with my two Ubuntu 13.04 laptops in the same place. I found on Ubuntu forum that this Wifi Unit has its problems under Linux.
You propose as download :
http://www.fit-pc2.com/download//mint/f ... 9.2012.deb

is this the latest driver for that WIFI unit ?

If so and although a driver is already installed with Ubuntu 13.04 may I just do :

sudo dpkg -i rtlwifi-dkms_0007.0809.2012.deb ?

Will it resolve the problems?
Thank you for advice

Realtek provided separate rtlwifi-dkms_0007.0809.2012.deb when RTL8723AE chip had not been supported by mainline kernel yet. I beliave Ubunru 13.04 driver is based on rtlwifi-dkms_0007.0809.2012.deb in some way.

You can try to install Ubuntu 12.04 and rtlwifi-dkms_0007.0809.2012.deb on separate disk and check browsing quality.

We are considering this combo (13.04) for a product that needs to be a reliable wireless router so I am very interested in this. Did you make any progress ?

Much appreciated

I did not bother to resolve the WIFI problem. I used a Powerline instead.
This works for my needs, but I am sure it can be solved with the latest kernels (www.kernel.org). How to install these can be found on Ubuntu forums.
Maybe I will retry to use my Wifi again when upgrading to the next Ubuntu version (13.10).

Kind regards and hope the best for you.
