Symptom:
After updating to BIOS 21-Jul-09 booting from HDD may fail with error message "Operating system not found".

Work around:
In BIOS setup -
Under Advanced, set Boot-time Diagnostic Screen to disable

Solution:
This behavior will be addressed in next BIOS release.

Thanks to the forum members for identifying the problem and offering the work-around.

I have a fit-pc2i with a Bios from 2010 - I get this error message about every 3 days.. Seems very strange. I've disabled this diagnostic screen but still get the error message - could there be something else causing it? i have re-installed winXp and also just bought a new SSD drive but still get the error (seems sporadic!)

Try a clean installation of OS and try again.
