BIOS settings for Linux on fit-PC2i

Post by derek »

There are two BIOS settings that appear to be relevant to the choice of OS. I will want to boot Linux.

On the Main screen, "Large Disk Access Mode" has choices of Other or DOS.

On the Advanced screen, "Installed O/S" has choices of WinXP, Other, Win95, Win98, WinMe, Win2000.

What are the correct values for these settings for Linux?

(CompuLab delivered my fit-PC2i so quickly that it arrived before the disk that I ordered locally, so I am not ready to install the OS anyway. Good work though, CompuLab!)

For Linux Mint or Ubuntu choose "DOS" / "WinXP", respectively. Other Linux versions could require other settings but it's hard to tell since you did not mention the Linux version you are going to install :)
