How hot should we be expecting the case to get during normal operation?
If i leave mine just in the bios for 15mins the case is too hot to touch (makes it a pain to try a disconnect a usb lead)
I have used a few atom based netbooks and they ran very cool.
I understand the case is the heatsink but is this normal?
How Hot?
Re: How Hot?
Mine gets a little bit warmer then handwarm.
A little too hot for my taste, but not painfully hot.

About 45C is normal.
BIOS does not do any power management so it tends to run hotter than idling in Windows/Linux.
I wouldn't use fit-PC2 on my lap, but any place where a cup of tea on a saucer is acceptable is good for fit-PC2.
Netbooks always use fans. Stop the fan for too long and the netbook will start melting.

Re: How Hot?
Using CPU Therm, mine runs at 36-37 while working at about a 50% load. Even stressing the CPU at 100%, I've never seen it go above 42.
I have to say that the passive cooling is very effective. If my hands are cold and I place them on top of the unit, it drops from 39 to 30 within 10-15 seconds.
