Use of Sierra Wireless EM9191 with fitlet3

Hi,

I am currently trying to use my Sierra Wireless EM9191 5G modem with the fitlet3, however it doesn't seem to get recognized when used in the M.2 slot. It does not appear in dmesg, lsusb, lspci on Ubuntu or Linux Mint. I have no problems using other modems like the Quectel RM500Q-GL, and the modem also works when connecting it using an external USB adapter that supports MBIM modems (like this one: https://thewirelesshaven.com/shop/mini- ... dapter-v7/).

Has anyone faced similar problems? Is there something I am overlooking?

Bests,

Mark

Dear Mark
The first question - which M.2 slot is in use for modem? Key-B?

Sorry just noticed your reply. Yes it is the Key-B slot.

Can you try to do one test? Unplug and plug back the modem when the device is on and running. Without shutting it down.

Unfortunately it doesn't seem to work. There is no reaction to it in dmesg. usb-devices, lsusb, lspci outputs also don't change and there is no new device in /dev.

Ok, I see. Let's do this - write mail with issue description to support@fit-pc.com.
Right now our engineers are working on similar issue (another modem model) so your one will be added to the tracking.
