mini pcie slot need to be enabled in bios ?

Post by jonNB »

Does the expansion slot need to be enabled in the bios ?

I tried two different WiFi cards but they didn't work (in order to make dual wifi card setup).

They were both from an HP computer so, I don't know if that is the problem.
I should probably try a general intel card, but wanted to make sure not missing something.

Mini PCIe full size slot is configured as mSATA by default, and should be set to PCI Express when connecting mini PCIe devices.

Mini PCIe half size slot can accept PCI Express devices only. Usually WiFi cards are half size, so shouldn't be configured. It should be enabled by default.
