FM-EBP Module

FM-EBP stands for Ethernet Bypass and it was designed for a very specific application. In nominal conditions the FACE Module incorporates 2x GbE LAN ports supporting 10/100/1000BASE-T communication and compliant with IEEE 802.3 standard through RJ-45 connectors. It also features two optional USB2.0 downstream ports with data rates up to 480Mbps.

In case of complete failure (HW/SW) of a host computer, keep alive mechanism detects and identifies the failure, and switches internal relay circuits in order to bypass the failing hardware. In fact, it routes the input port to output port in a simple electrical wire fashion.

Refer to Compatibility Matrix for products fit.
