IR Receiver Information and Details...

I'd like to develop some custom software for the IR Receiver but I haven't been able to find any programmer's reference information on it. The fit-PC2 Reference Manual doesn't have any details on it at all.

What is the program/driver interface. If I install the AVR309 drivers (hard to do - see my previous posts) is that all that is needed to interface to it?
