I purchased a fit-pc2 with XP from Amazon in December 2009
I use it to play .ISO .AVI and .MKV video files that I have ripped onto a NAS drive. I have the fit-pc connected up to a Samsung 40"LED TV, using the DVI/DMDI and analog audio (hope to get one of the the newer fit-pc's with digital audio output sometime).
I have been using VLC to play these files. As with other users, I have experienced video problems with higher definition movies. I have read the posts on video playback, which can be confusing, and there have been different recomendations at different times.
What would be the current recomendation for my use of the fit-pc - video driver, codec, media player, and any other updates?
Thanks
Best setup for playing video
Re: Best setup for playing video
The best is what is pre-installed. MPC-HC using k-lite and PowerDVD-HD.
VLC is not recommended.

What if...
...I bought a fit-pc2 diskless and didn't have a pre-installed xp setup, also I can't seem to locate the files that were available to help with this? any chance you sill have them on the site?
Re: Best setup for playing video
they do not distribute the files,
you'll have to buy another fit pc , with presinstalled codec
to have those files.
I have the same problem as you, and would be ready to pay to buy
an iso image, but I don't think it will happen.
Maybe we can ask somebody gentle to make us a iso image?
the only solution.
