fitPC broken after running on a battery

Post by ror »

There is a problem with my fit-PC2-D1G-C1600-H-W Rev 1.21. I tried to run it on a NiMH 8-battery pack and it worked fine and shut off after about 90 minutes as it was supposed to. After that it refused to start even with the native power supply. It still gets pretty warm, the hard drive is ok and running and even USB devices are getting power but there are no signs of life on the monitor and the power LED on the front panel is off.

Now I need to find out the reason for the failure as soon as possible, so I won't break my new fitPC as well.
Please help.

Please email rma@fit-pc.com
Check transients on your battery pack to make sure it stays within fit-PC voltage range.
